at 03:50 PMShane and Nick are back with a beer from the Goose Island Beer Company out of Chicago, IL. Sofie, their “Belgian-style Ale” noted as a Saison/Farmhouse Ale, is fermented with wild yeasts (brettanomyces?) and aged in wine barrels with orange peel. This specific bottle Nick has been hanging onto is from 2010, and with notation on the label it will age for up to 5 years, we’re interested to see how it’s holding up after 2 years.
