Let me start off by saying this brew was a gem! I immediately fell in love with this beer as soon as I saw the price tag. Cheap, inexpensive, and it has alcohol in it; what more could a beer lover ask for? After deciding to pick up a six pack of Bud Light I was excited to crack open my first one.

The beers come in a convenient driving container; you can twist off the cap. I, however, resisted the urge and waited until I got home to try this beer. The excitement was building after seeing billboards with really attractive woman on the way home from the distributor with Bud Light in their hands. Seeing this made me excited just to know that I too have the opportunity to hang out with beautiful women by being able to taste the drinkability that is Bud Light.

There is a reason Bud is the “king of beers.” Bud Light. This brew was smooth going down, with a slight burn when it came back up. First, the aroma is pleasant. After my time drinking craft beer it was wonderful whiffing a beer with such subtle grain, and public water scent.

I did not get the opportunity to examine the color and pour; I was more excited about the beautiful women arriving. I started cracking these beers open and enjoying. Being able to have the flavors dance across your palate is something to experience. Bud Light hits a home run in taste. I can taste the drinkability. It tasted similar to water with grains. I had no alcohol burn, just pure pleasure.

I enjoyed the whole six pack myself eating Mexican takeout, waiting for the beautiful woman from the billboard to arrive. While eating, I think the jalapeño set my mouth on fire and I quickly attempted to extinguish the flames with the goodness named Bud Light. Unfortunately, the beer went down the wrong tube and caused a gag reflex. Good news is the beer came back up. Wow the flavor on the way up was nothing short of magical. I kept it in my mouth the whole way to the trash can. This was one of my most memorable experiences to date. I stayed up most of the night waiting for the beautiful woman but none came. I thoroughly enjoyed this brew, however, the lack of delivering on the promise of beautiful woman takes this beer down a notch.

Overall: 9.5/10

Like Mike, small craft breweries are my favorite, but every now and then there comes a beer that just dominates the playing field. Recently, I tried the refreshing, ice-cold (like the Rockies), Coors Light. It was straight out of bottle that changed colors to tell me it’s cold enough to drink! And boy is it cold. Almost frozen, actually.

I had to keep the can in my refrigerator for about 24 hours until the Coors Light can deemed itself cold enough, by turning the Rocky Mountains blue. That’s awesome! After trying to thaw off my hand from the bottle, I poured it into an even colder frozen mug. This is the ultimate refreshment, cold and colder.

This beer poured really well. Its head was extremely foamy and pure white. The color was really transparent and yellow which I loved because I can actually see what is in my beer! I don’t get the dark or cloudy beers, why would you want your beer like that? You can’t see through them, so you have no idea what you’re drinking.

I took a whiff of this beer but didn’t smell much. That’s okay. I am buttering my toast as I drink this, so I think the powerful aroma butter has really threw off my nose. Really wanting to smell this golden brew, I stuck my nose into the glass. All I got was a dollop of head on my nose. Silly me, I should have known I’d get messy!

The taste was awesome. It was full of water, corn and rice – I think. Unlike the craft beers, I didn’t really get much of a hop or malt taste. Oh well, this goes down so easy. You could easily sit and drink a handful or two of these in one sitting, which is awesome! Who cares about flavor when you can drink all day long and not feel a thing?! This beer rocks, hands down. All the elements combined make a really great beer for a day in the front lawn.

Overall: 9.5/10

I’m normally a fan of small breweries, but after seeing all of the wonderful advertisements informing me of how good and unique the triple hops brewed technology used to make Miller Lite is I had to give it a go. Miller Lite also sponsors several sporting events that I enjoy watching, but I’ll try not to let that persuade my review.

Unlike the commercials, my beer was not poured by a busty blonde bartender into a glass while I wait, joking around with my multicultural group of good looking male friends. Instead it was just me, alone in my apartment with a 6 pack and a pint glass. Miller lite pours a clear golden yellow color with a rapidly shrinking white head. Which is all well and good because I don’t want that taking up space in my glass that could be better served with more beer.

The aromas pleasantly thin and grainy with hints of hops and corn, an odd brewing independent but probably one of Miller’s secrets. Miller Lite has classic beer smell that brings me back to drinking in the dorm room. While the aroma is familiar it is thankfully thin, this a drink after all not a scented candle.

Miller Lite is as easy to drink as a glass of water, it just goes down easy and you could probably drink a case without feeling full, or getting drunk at 4.2% ABV. The flavors are refreshing, semi sweet with hints of grain. There are some hops in there, but it is not bitter. Truly refreshing and crisp, probably thanks to that patented triple hops brewing technology. I mean adding hops at three times during the brewing process, genius! Miller Lite is what a beer should be, and it doesn’t pack a lot of calories either.

Even without the busty bartender I have to give credit where credit is due, Miller Lite is a great beer worthy of praise. It is popular for a reason, and the advertisements reflect that. I take back what I have said in the past about Miller Lite, this beer is crisp and refreshing, yes it is close to water but who wants complicated flavors anyway? Move over Budweiser, there is a new king.

Overall: 9.5/10 (Would be 10/10 had the bartender been included)
