Episode 18: Cigar City Hunahpu’s Imperial Stout (Video)1

Joining us once again is Mike, and this time he brings along a special beer for us to try. Sent by Amie in Florida (thanks!) is the Cigar City Hunahpu’s Imperial Stout. An 11.5% ABV Imperial Stout aged on Peruvian cacao nibs, ancho and pasilla chilies, cinnamon and Madagascar vanilla beans. We pair this with two different chocolates: chile dark chocolate and 70% cocoa dark chocolate.

  1. Mike says:

Realized I messed up and said wood chips instead of cacao nibs. Which explains where the chocolate came from, and why here was no wood chip flavor. While there was some smoke from the roasted malts. My apologies for misspeaking, I don’t do these videos often hahaha.
