One of my favorite local spots in Reading, PA is Canal Street Pub & Restaurant, nestled deep off downtown Penn Street. Hop’solutely from Allentown Brew Works labels itself as a “triple” IPA. I was delighted to pick this one up being a huge fan of IPAs. This review is based upon a corked and caged 750 ml bottle. I was happy with the Monkey Wrench Saison that Shane and I reviewed in our latest video review and was excited to uncork this bottle and get down to some beer loving fun.
21st Amendment from San Fransisco, California is another leader in the craft beer can revolution. Their Belgian Strong Dark Ale, Monk’s Blood, is packed into an ominous black can with an interesting scroll transcribed on it. At 8.3% ABV, this is our first review of anything from 21st Amendment, so hopefully the Monk’s Blood leaves a good first impression.
This week, Shane and Nick have got two more beers to enjoy and discuss in lovely Philadelphia once again. First up is the Flying Fish Exit 6, which was actually just released during Philly Beer Week 2010 in June and also the Fegley’s Brew Works (made by Allentown Brew Works) Monkey Wrench.
